One cable to a light switch box: wiring explained, what you can (& can’t) do

What if you pull a light switch out of the box and it only has one cable in the box. Where’s the other cable? Isn’t there supposed to be two? This situation is more common than you’d think and is called switch loop wiring. In this video I explain what is going on and what your choices are when you find a light switch that only has one cable in the box.
